Renton PD Vs. Fire Football Game Benefits Children's Hospital

There will be food trucks, games and free parking at the event on May 6.

From the Renton Police Department: On Sunday May 6th, a battle between Renton Police Department and Renton Fire Authority will take place at Renton Memorial Stadium, 405 Logan Ave N. This event benefits the real battles that are going on at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the hospital.

School Resource Officer Rob McGruder along with Hazen High School ASB students came up with the idea to have a charity flag football game to help kids who are fighting childhood illnesses. The game starts at 1:30 PM with a tailgate party starting at 12:30. There will be food trucks, games and free parking. The halftime show features Hazen High Schools Cheer, Dance, Drumline and DJ Drew.

Tickets for the event are $5 for kids age 12-18 years old, $7 for age 19 and older and kids under 12 are free. Tickets are available at the door.
