Renton Police Vs. Firefighters Football Game Coming Up
This year's charity football game will benefit the Lionhardt Foundation, which was created to honor a Renton firefighter.

RENTON, WA — The annual Renton police and fire First Responder Bowl is set for June 8 at Renton Memorial Stadium. The game raises money for charity in honor of Donovan Eckhardt, a Renton firefighter who died of cancer in 2015.

On Saturday June 8 th the 2nd battle between Renton Police Department and Renton Fire
Authority will take place at Renton Memorial Stadium, 405 Logan Ave N. This year’s event benefits the “Lionhardt” Charity that was started in honor of Donovan Eckhardt, a Renton Firefighter who passed away from cancer in 2015, 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the
Lionhardt organization.

For the second year School Resource Officer Rob McGruder along with Hazen High School ASB students are working together for charity. The game starts at 1:30 PM with a tailgate party starting at 12:00. There will be food trucks, random give-a-ways and a photo booth. The parking is free. Entertainment features Hazen High Schools Cheer, Dance, and DJ Drew.
Tickets for the event are $10 for 12 years and older, under 12 years are free. Tickets are available at the door.
