Renton's 4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Canceled

RENTON, WA — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

Renton's traditional 4th of July celebration at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach park is among the many canceled around King County in 2021. Fireworks shows are planned in nearby Bellevue and Auburn. KING 5 will also air a special with fireworks highlights from Seattle's celebrations past, starting at 10 p.m.

Unfortunately, most of King County's annual July 4 events were canceled for a second year, amid continued uncertainty over the pandemic. Kirkland will not be hosting its usual Celebrate Kirkland 4th of July festivities, and fireworks shows around Renton and Lake Sammamish were also canceled.
