Renton's Massage Envy to Offer Free Massages for First Responders July 15 to July 19

The free sessions for EMTs, firefighters and police officers are offered through the company's "Thanking our Community Heroes" program in an effort to help promote stress reduction on the job.

The Massage Envy clinic in Renton is participating in a region-wide company program in July to thank local first responders for their work and to help with a little stress reduction.

From Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19, police officers, firefighters and EMTs actively employed in the line of duty are invited to receive one free one-hour therapeutic massage session at any Massage Envy Puget Sound location, according to a press release.

At the same time, the clinics will also be hosting a teddy bear drive to collect toys for children who've suffered through traumatic situations. All teddy bears donated will be given to fire stations, police stations and hospitals within the local community.

The free sessions for EMTs, police officers and firefighters are by appointment only. Participants are encouraged to book as soon as possible as the spots fill up fast. To reserve a free massage session, contact the closest Puget Sound Massage Envy location directly. Renton's clinic is located at The Landing across from Target (1205 North 10th St. Suite C). A list of clinics and contact information is available on the Massage Envy website at http://www.massageenvy.com/regions/WA/Seattle.aspx.

Proof of employment, such as an ID badge, in one of these organizations will be requested at check-in.
