Today in Renton: River Days is Here

There's something for young and old on this the first day of the Renton River Days festival.

From The Art Market to Nibble of Renton, the Renton Annual Art Show to a host of community information booths, there is plenty to see, do and taste on this the first day of Renton River Days.

Here are some highlights for the kids today, Friday, July 26:

Wenatchee Youth Circus: Showtimes at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Performances take place at Cedar River Park with tickets at just $1 for kids under 18 and $2 for adults. You can buy tickets in Liberty Park at the Festival Information Booth and 30 minutes prior to each show at the circus seating entrance.

Finding Nemo as "Dive-In"Movie Feature: Showtime is at 9 p.m. at a cost of $5 per person at the Henry Moses Aquatics Center.

Plus a petting zoo, inflatable playland, putt putt golf, LEGO Playzone and more. Visit http://www.rentonriverdays.org/kids/ for more ideas for your little ones.

Good to know reminders:

1) River Days Shuttle location has been changed to the Renton Senior Activity Center, located at 211 Burnett Ave. N., Renton, WA  98057. 

2) Street Closures: Houser Way S. between Mill Avenue and Bronson Way is closed throughout the weekend and will reopen at about 1p.m. on Monday, July 29. For the River Days Parade on Saturday, which begins at 10 a.m., South 3rd Street between Rainier and Houser Way will be closed to all traffic and parking from 7:00 a.m. until completion of the Parade at approximately 1:00 p.m. All side streets adjacent to and leading to South 3rd Street will be restricted to local access only during the same time period.
