RENTON, WA - Two Seahawks players were berated by a woman outside the team's Renton practice facility, according to a video posted on Twitter by cornerback Neiko Thorpe. The woman complains that her tax dollars pay for them to play football, and warns them to "get off your f--king knees."
In the video, the woman, seated in an SUV, shouts at Thorpe and cornerback Mike Tyson. The two players are also seated in a vehicle. The are outside the Virginia Mason Athletic Center along Seahawks Way.
It's unclear why the woman was yelling at the two players. The recording begins in the middle of the exchange.

"You cannot stand up and be a man," the woman says.
"What's your name?" one of the players asks the woman.

"I'm not telling you my f--king name," she responds.
The players chuckle at the woman, and then she asks them for their names.
"I don't care who you are," she responds when Tyson tells her he's "Big Mike." "All I care about is the fact that my tax dollars pay for you to play ... go f--king play and get off your f--king knees."
Some members of the Seahawks - and many other NFL teams - took a knee during the playing of the national anthem over the last few seasons. The players were protesting the treatment of African-Americans by police. But many - including President Donald Trump - called the protests were disrespectful and unpatriotic.
Tyson was only drafted by the Seahawks in 2017 and was inactive all last season - which means he hasn't had a chance to play yet. And Thorpe did not kneel during the anthem last season. The recently traded Michael Bennett did, and was sometimes joined by other players, but not Thorpe.
