271 Numbers Drawn For 3rd 'Shot Of A Lifetime' Lottery
State officials will begin contacting the latest round of winners Wednesday, including the third person to win $250,000.
OLYMPIA, WA — The Washington State Lottery drew its third round of "Shot of a Lifetime" winners Tuesday, granting various awards to 256 vaccinated adults and a year of tuition to 15 lucky kids ages 12 to 17.
Starting Wednesday, lottery officials will work with the state Department of Health to match the random winning numbers with corresponding names and contact information listed in the statewide immunization database. Adult winners in the June 22 drawing were selected among 4,017,837 names, up 54,000 from last week, officials said. More than 224,000 residents ages 12 to 17 were eligible to win tuition credits.
Here are the prizes that were up for grabs June 22:

Unlike previous weeks, this week the lottery also drew a round of alternate winners for both the child and adult prize pools. If the original winner of each prize does not respond within 3 days of receiving a call or email from the lottery, the alternates will be contacted instead. Alternates were only selected for cash and tuition prizes. The other unclaimed prizes will go back into the final drawing on July 13.

After more than 100 prizes went unclaimed in the state's first drawing, lottery officials shared a few tips this week to make sure people do not miss out on their winnings:
- Officials calling from the lottery will most often have a 253 area code, but some phones will have a 564 number — the state's newest area code. Official prize emails will originate only from an address ending in "@doh.wa.gov."
- Winners have 72 hours to claim their prize, and the clock starts ticking as soon as the first call attempt happens. As the deadline nears, officials will also attempt to text winners, and send an e-mail if their address is on file.
- Washingtonians seeking help verifying that their vaccination records are in the state's database can call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-833-VAX-HELP.
- Beware of scammers: The state received some reports of scammers posing as lottery officials. The Attorney General's office shared several tips to avoid scammers Monday and encourages anyone suspicious of a call, text, or e-mail to contact the Washington State Lottery at 360-810-2888 to verify authenticity.
Here are the dates for the two remaining drawings:
- Tuesday, June 29 ($250K + other prizes)
- Winners contacted between June 30 and July 2
- Tuesday, July 13 ($1 million grand prize + remaining prizes)
- Grand prize winner contacted by the next day
