SEATTLE — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

Seafair, one of the Pacific Northwest's largest summer events, may have been canceled but it will be replaced by a virtual event. Annual triathlons and 5K races will have a mixture of live and virtual participation. KING 5 will air a few specials with highlights from Seafair celebrations past.
