Careers Starting at $25 an hour and Benefits

The Seattle Ironworkers Local 86 is now recruiting apprentices.

The Ironworkers union is now recruiting apprentices to fill the needs of the many construction projects in the area. Not only Seattle construction, but projects in the outlining areas of Everett to Tacoma. Also, it is anticipated there will be additional jobs following recovery from the Covid-19 virus. The remodeling of the medical and transportation infrastructure is already being discussed. Ironwork isn't for everyone but for those who find it appealing are in for an interesting career. The work is everything from connecting the steel beams on tall buildings and bridges to welding and installing re-enforcing for concrete construction. These union jobs provide family wages, healthcare, and retirement.
