Saturday brought record-breaking heat to Bellingham, Hoquiam, Olympia, Sea-Tac and more. Here's what to expect for the upcoming week.
SEATTLE — Saturday was a scorcher, or at least a scorcher for this time of year, with temperatures reaching up to the low 80s for select parts of Washington.
And there's good news on the way for those of us who are loving this warm weather. While it won't be as hot as Saturday, it will still be nice and warm, at least for through midweek.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, here's a quick look at some of the highs we saw across the region Saturday.

If you enjoyed the warm weather, good news: it's sticking around for the next several days. As the National Weather Service explains, Sunday should see the surface flow start switch over, helping preserve the warm temperature. It likely won't set as many records — temperatures should be about one to two degrees cooler — but it'll still be very pleasant.
Monday may see more low clouds than the weekend, but will remain dry. That dry, mostly cloudless weather will stick around through Tuesday, at which point temperatures will also cool some into the upper 60s in the inland.
Unfortunately, that's where weather sours somewhat, as forecasters predicts "more seasonable" temperatures (read: around 60) Thursday through next Saturday.
Still, that's a few more warm days on tap, so try to get out and enjoy the heat while you can.
