Don't Let Your Seasonal Event Get Overlooked; Post It On Patch
You can post your events yourself on Patch. It's as easy as pumpkin pie.
It's that time of the year when every weekend is filled with festivals, craft fairs, haunted houses, holiday parties, fundraisers and other seasonal events. Are you organizing one of those events? You can post events yourself on your local Washington Patch site.
Here's how:
First things first: Sign up for an account. If you already have one, even better.
Once you're logged in, click here to post a new event.
Here's what the event form will look like:

First, in the "Town or ZIP code" field, select the Patch community where you want to post your event.
Then, in the "Date" and "Time" fields, add your event date and starting time.
Next, in the "Venue or address" field, add a location. (If it's a familiar location, Patch will automatically populate the field with a choice of addresses to choose from.)
Now, in the "Title" field, give your event a headline.

And finally, in the "Description" field, tell your neighbors all about your event!
You can also upload an image — such as your event flyer — using the "Add image" button at the bottom of the form. Feel free to crop it as needed.
When you click the green "Next" button, you'll see the option to promote and share your event. To share your event with surrounding communities costs only $1 per day. (This gets you prime placement on Patch for up to 30 days before your event occurs. Your event will be featured both on the Patch website and in our daily newsletters.)
Once you've filled out all the fields and checked for spelling errors, click "Post" — and your event will be live on Patch!
Don't forget to share your event on Facebook and Twitter. Sharing your content on social media is a great way to spread the word and get free publicity.
