Flight Diverted To Seattle Due To 'Unruly' Passenger
A Dallas-bound American Airlines flight, traveling from Japan, was diverted to Seattle after a customer became unruly, officials said.

SEATTLE — An unruly passenger on an American Airlines flight Wednesday caused the plane to be diverted to Seattle, where federal officers were waiting. A spokesperson for the airline said flight 60, carrying 63 passengers and 13 crew members, was traveling from Tokyo to Dallas when the incident began, causing the pilots to redirect to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Upon landing, the airline said the unidentified passenger was removed from the plane by federal officials. According to FlightAware, the Boeing 787-9 was on the ground in Seattle for close to 90 minutes. The flight and its remaining passengers departed the airport shortly after noon and landed safely in Dallas roughly three hours later.
The airline directed Patch to the FBI for more details about the incident. A spokesperson for the bureau told Patch the FBI is "aware of the incident and are working with our partners to determine more details surrounding the diverted flight."
