WHITE CENTER, WA — Several online fundraisers are soliciting donations after a fire destroyed six businesses in White Center early Monday morning. The fire swept through a row of businesses along 16th Avenue Southwest shortly before 2 a.m. Fire crews from neighboring Seattle were first on the scene and said no injuries were reported.

A spokesperson for GoFundMe shared a list of seven verified fundraisers on Tuesday, including one soliciting general donations to assist the employees who relied on wages across all the damaged businesses.

The businesses directly impacted by Monday's fire include the Nuggi Boba Cafe, Boxing Gym Westside, John's Hair and Nails Beauty Salon, La Típica Oaxaquena, Dotties Double Wide and The Lumber Yard. As verified fundraisers, GoFundMe guarantees donated funds will go directly to the intended beneficiaries or be refunded.
