Jeff Bezos, Richest Person In The World, Is Worth $100B: Report
Only one other person has ever been reported to have as a high a net worth.

SEATTLE, WA — Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and the world's richest person, is now reported to be worth $100 billion, according to Bloomberg. The news outlet tracks the wealth of the world's richest people.
Though Bezos surpassed Microsoft founder Bill Gates in July to become the world's richest person, Gates' himself is believed to have already topped the 12-digit wealth threshold back in the '90s. He topped $100 billion in 1999 during the pinnacle of the dot com bubble, according to CNN, and is now worth around $89 billion.
However, Bloomberg said that Gates would still be the world's richest person had he not given away much of his wealth to charitable causes. Bloomberg projects said Gates would have a fortune in excess of $150 billion were it not for his giving.

Bezos has only recently begun branching out into the world of charity, tweeting out a request for philanthropic suggestions in June.
The news of Bezos' new heights comes on Black Friday, a major shopping day for much of the country and a huge revenue generator for Amazon. The Bloomberg estimate of Bezos' wealth is based off the closing numbers of the New York market on Wednesday.
