SEATTLE — Jersey Mike's Subs customers across Puget Sound in March helped raise more than $132,000 for Seattle Children's Hospital during the sandwich company's 9th annual Month of Giving. The company said 37 Jersey Mike's locations participated in the annual fundraiser.

Donations given during the month-long event — including the company's "Day of Giving" on March 27, which saw Jersey Mike's donate 100 percent of all sales from all 37 locations — will reportedly benefit Seattle Children's Strong Against Cancer program.

Strong Against Cancer is the hospital's worldwide campaign to cure pediatric cancer by developing new cancer immunotherapy treatments in order to literally "reprogram a child’s own immune cells to find and destroy cancerous cells — without the often harmful side effects of chemotherapy or radiation," according to campaign organizers.
