Multi-Car Rollover Crash Snarls Traffic On I-215 In Murrieta

A crash involving multiple cars Saturday afternoon snarled traffic on Interstate 215 and left at least one vehicle on its roof.

MURRIETA, CA — A multi-car crash on southbound Interstate 215 in Murrieta left the roadway closed Saturday afternoon, snarling traffic along the highway.

The four-vehicle crash was reported at 1:49 p.m. on I-215 near Los Alamos Road, according to preliminary California Highway Patrol logs. All lanes were blocked as of 1:50 p.m., with one car on its roof in the slow lane.

The closure caused backups along the interstate toward the Temecula Valley Freeway. Agencies including Murrieta Fire & Rescue responded, and I-215 lanes began to reopen shortly before 2:30 p.m., CHP logs show.
