SEATTLE — All King County residents and workers, 16 and older, can now get their COVID-19 immunizations at three of Seattle's city-run vaccination sites without an appointment, the mayor's office announced Monday. Walk-ups are open to all seeking their first or second dose.

"Seattle is making it easier than ever to quickly and easily get vaccinated," said Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan. "As of today, nearly 70 percent of eligible Seattleites have begun their vaccination progress. This is an incredible milestone, and if we continue this effort, we’ll reach a level of community protection where so many of us – particularly our most vulnerable – will be protected from the most serious effects of this virus."

Beginning Wednesday, the Lumen Field Event Center hub will offer the Pfizer Vaccine, while Rainier Beach and West Seattle will offer visitors a choice between the Pfizer, Moderna and single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Those getting a two-dose vaccine will be scheduled for a second dose at the site. Patients walking in for a second dose must provide proof of immunization from their CDC vaccine card or online immunization records. The vaccines are not interchangeable, and second doses must match the first. For the youngest people eligible, only the Pfizer vaccine is currently authorized for use in 16 and 17-year-olds.

Starting this week, Seattle is also testing longer evening hours at some of its sites to allow people more flexibility to visit outside of the workday. Learn more about getting vaccinated in Seattle online.
