SPD Blotter: Detectives Investigating Friday Afternoon Shooting

People began calling 911 around 12:30pm Friday to report shots fired in the 12300 block of Sand Point Way Northeast.

When police arrived they found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds and immediately began providing first aid. Medics with the Seattle Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical center with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives believe at this time this was a targeted attack and not a random occurrence.

Police searched the area with a K-9 but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives with the homicide/assault unit are now interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence.
