SPD Blotter: Detectives Investigating Friday Night Rainier Beach Shooting

Detectives are investigating after two people were injured in a shooting Friday night.

Witnesses called 911 to report shots fired in the Rainier Beach neighborhood Friday at 6 pm. When officers arrived in the area they found a man and a woman in a car both of whom had been shot. Police began providing first aid to the woman who had been shot in the stomach and the man who had been shot in the hand.

Seattle Fire Department Medics took both people to HMC where they are being treated for their injuries.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are now investigating and reviewing evidence left at the scene.
