On March 17th a subject entered the church and community center located at 7728 Rainier Avenue South. He entered a second-floor room where a meeting was being held by multiple Community Passageways program participants. Community Passageways was holding an orientation for a diversion program for young offenders. Shortly after entering the room, the suspect observed Omari Wallace. The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot Wallace multipletimes killing him. The suspect fled the scene in an older model Toyota Corolla Station Wagon.
Isaiah Thomas Hinds has been identified as the suspect in the Murder of Omari Wallace. Detectives believe that Hinds is still in the Seattle, and Tacoma areas.
