State Police Seek Driver Believed To Be Involved In I-5 Shooting
The incident took place near the I-405 N overpass on Nov. 13 and involved a green Honda that police said was shot at by another driver.
SEATTLE — The Washington State Police is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a person who they believe was involved in shooting at another driver last week.
State Police said on Tuesday that communications officers received a 911 call at 2 p.m. on Nov. 13 from a person saying that they believed they had been shot at by another motorist. The person told dispatchers that they were on driving north I-5 to the I-405 North and that as they were approaching the first overpass at the 405, they heard a loud noise, police said Tuesday.
They immediately pulled onto the shoulder of the highway and found a hole on the left side of their rear window and determined that the car had been hit by a bullet. At the time the driver heard the loud noise, they did not think to look at passing traffic as they believed something was wrong with their car, police said. According to a photo of the victim’s vehicle, the car that police said was hit by the bullet is a green Honda CRV.
