T-Mobile Park To Dramatically Boost Seating Capacity By Mid-June
The Mariners have received permission from the state to expand capacity and sell 26,265 vaccinated-only tickets per game.
SEATTLE, WA — The Seattle Mariners have announced plans to double seating capacity at T-Mobile Park in just a few weeks.
For the upcoming homestand June 14th through 23rd, the team will be selling up to 30,945 tickets per game. Currently, only around 14,000 fans are allowed inside, 5,000 in a vaccinated-only section and another 9,000 in socially distanced seating.
Under the new plan, which the team says was approved by both the state of Washington and King County officials, the park will sell 26,265 tickets per game for their vaccinated-only section, which does not require social distancing, or masks among other, less stringent COVID-19 safety regulations. The remaining 4,680 tickets will be sold in groups of 1-6 seats, to be placed in socially distanced pods where mask use is required.

The team is also updating their bag and outside food policy starting June 14, to allow clear plastic of vinyl bags and single-servings of outside food.
Vaccinated seating will only last through the end of the month. Gov. Jay Inslee has announced that the state's remaining COVID-19 restrictions will expire June 30. When that happens, the Mariners say they plan to open T-Mobile to full, non-socially distanced capacity. The team has plans to announce ticket sales for those games soon.
In the meantime, the Mariners continue to offer free vaccination for fans visiting the stadium. The team has partnered with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health and Seattle Fire Department, who will have medical professionals at all Mariners home games through the end of the month offering up the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Fans do not need to set up an appointment to get a shot.
