Warmer Days, Plenty Of Sunshine Forecast This Week In Washington

Through Wednesday, each day should be warmer than the last, with mostly clear skies on tap as far as the forecast can see.

SEATTLE — A pleasant Mother's Day was just a preview of the nice week ahead, with afternoon temperatures ticking up to the 70s for most by Wednesday. This time around, the warmer weather will be accompanied by a lot more sunshine, with only a few clouds on the radar heading into next weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday looks to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-60s. Tuesday's skies will get even clearer, setting the table for a string of days in the low 70s lasting through at least Friday. Forecasters said Wednesday might be the warmest in the group, but nice weather will be the new normal for the near future.

The current forecast shows no rain before some possible showers next Sunday, and even the cooler days in the bunch should have temperatures sticking in the mid-to-high 60s. Mild overnight lows will see virtually no change after Monday, staying in the low 50s for most. An onshore flow may bring in a layer of marine clouds each night, which will scatter in the day, forecasters said.
