Lockout At Shoreline Schools Lifted
Two schools were placed on "lockout" Friday afternoon, which is a security measure to keep people out of a school building.
SHORELINE, WA — Shoreline schools placed Meridian Park Elementary and the Edwin T. Pratt Early Learning center on lockout Friday afternoon due to police activity near the schools. The lockout was lifted at around 2 p.m.
During a lockout, activities go on as normal inside the school, but the doors remain locked to keep people from entering the building.
The police activity was going on at North 175th Street and Meridian Avenue, just north of Ronald Bog Park.

School Safety Alert Meridian Park Elementary and Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center are currently in LOCKOUT due to police activity at 175th and Meridian. Exterior doors locked and no one may enter or leave the building. School activities continue as normal inside the school.
