•Along with the above gallery opening, Arts al Fresco includes a Sculpture Stroll, with 14 sculptures installed at City Hall, the courtyard lawn and across the street at the Park at Town Center. “Created from steel, glass and stone these pieces provide unique perspectives of such concepts as Adam & Eve through the Wandering Eye and Migration and Bluebirds from the Aquamarine bench. Do the Sculpture Stroll and play with the City’s wellness theme around the Skater, the Ball Player and Stride.” The pieces are on loan for at least one year from regional artists.
•And then there’s Piano Time, featuring pianos decorated by area artists. “Ten pianos visually enhanced by artists will be in the City Hall courtyard and in other locations around the Town Center area for scheduled performances and casual play by passers-by. Seven of the pianos were out for Piano Time 2012 and three additional pianos will be painted by Shoreline artists Karien Balluff, Marsha Lippert and Carol Meckling to expand Piano Time 2013 to other areas of the City. "Opening night will feature a concert on the grand Shoreline Rocks by Kelly Lyles in the City Courtyard and one of the new painted piano creations will be featured on the Red Brick road. At other times and places during August people can sign up on each piano calendar if they want to do more than casually play so others can stop by for some al fresco entertainment. But everyone is invited all month long to pull up a chair, have a seat, and make some music of your own.”
