Big Illegal Pot Grow Busted In Lake Forest Park

Lake Forest Park police raided the home on Monday morning, confiscating hundreds of marijuana plants.

LAKE FOREST PARK, WA — Lake Forest Park police busted an illegal marijuana growing operation on Monday, seizing some 350 plants from the home.

Police said they learned about the illegal grow operation after neighbors complained. After an investigation, police obtained search warrant to raid the home early Monday morning. The operation was carried out with help from the Northsound Metro SWAT team.

No one was home at the time of the raid. Officers spent the morning dismantling the grow operation.

"As a result, detectives confirmed the home was solely being used to illegally cultivate marijuana. All three levels of the home were being used for various stages of growing. They seized over 350 marijuana plants. The home was vacant at the time and detectives are continuing their investigation," the department said in a statement.
