Boys Hoops: Hawkinson Leads Shorewood Past Shorecrest

Senior scores 24 points and blocks seven shots

Shorewood senior forward Josh Hawkinson missed the T-birds' last two non-league games but he didn't miss Friday night's home game against crosstown rival Shorecrest.

The Washington State-bound Hawkinson scored 24 points and blocked seven shots to lead the T-birds to a 45-39 victory at Shorewood High School.

Coach Ben Scheffler declined to say why Hawkinson did not play the previous two games, but said it wasn't anything serious.
