Edwin T. Pratt's Daughter Shares Father's Story On NPR StoryCorps
The story, told by Miriam Pratt and childhood neighbor Jean Soliz, will be archived in the Library of Congress.

SHORELINE, WA - Miriam Pratt, the daughter of slain Washington civil rights leader Edwin T. Pratt, recently shared her father's story with NPR's StoryCorps program, which means that it will be archived in the Library of Congress.
Miriam Pratt told the story of her father's assassination with her childhood neighbor, Jean Soliz. In 1969, Edwin T. Pratt was shot and killed at his Shoreline home. He was the head of the Seattle Urban League and was the first black person to live in his Shoreline neighborhood.
Police believe that three white men shot Pratt, but the case is still open and unsolved.
