“We think this is a great way to honor the members of our armed forces and veterans,” said Rory Bruer, president, Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures. “We’ve heard from so many veterans that they feel that Fury truly speaks to their experience in wartime, so, on a day when we all want to find ways to give back to the men and women who serve, we’re thrilled to be giving free admission to the film to veterans and active personnel.”
Directed by David Ayer, the film stars Brad Pitt as a stoic and courageous army sergeant named Wardaddy who commands a Sherman tank and a five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines in April, 1945. Outnumbered and outgunned, they attempt to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
