Get Your Tickets: Edmonds Third Annual Film Festival is Coming Up

Organizers are still taking film submissions. To be held on May 19, the event will benefit Abolition International.

 

Edmonds Third-Annual Film Festival, complete with a red carpet and formal wear, is coming May 19, 2013 to the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Featuring short films written, filmed, directed, and produced by local film makers and students, the festival will include awards for highest scoring film in each category.

The evening begins on the red carpet at 5:30 with film screening to begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at college20s.com for $15 general admission or $12 for students. Tickets will also be available for purchase at Revelations Yogurt on Main Street later this month.

The event began in May 2011 with 4 films and an audience of 200 people at Westgate Chapel. By 2012, Last year nearly 400 people attended, organizers said.

The goals is to raise a minimum of $5,000 for Abolition International, a group that is working to end sex trafficking.
