Snow Totals Vary Across Puget Sound: Here's How Much Shoreline Got

Check how much snow fell near you in the New Year's 2017 snowstorm.

The New Year's snowstorm that swept through Puget Sound overnight was a bit of a surprise for some. In some parts of Puget Sound, people awoke to several inches of snow. Other areas - notably the Bellevue area - got nothing at all.

Here are the National Weather Service snowfall estimates, which show that areas south and far north of Seattle got the most snow.

  • Alpental Ski Area: 3 inches at 10 a.m.
  • SeaTac Airport: 3 inches at 9:53 a.m.
  • Factoria/Eastgate: 2 inches at 7 a.m.
  • North Bend: 2 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Greenwaer-Enumclaw: 1 inch at 9 a.m.
  • Seattle-Beacon Hill: 0.7 inches at 8 a.m.
  • Redmond: 1/2 inch at 7 a.m.
  • Renton Highlands: 1/2 inch at 8 a.m.
  • Mercer Island: 0.4 inches at 8 a.m.
  • Federal Way-Auburn: 0.3 inches at 6 a.m.
  • Woodinville: 0.2 inches at 9:20 a.m.
  • Mill Creek-Bothell: 0.4 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Bellevue: 0.1 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Crystal Mountain: 2 inches at 9 a.m.
  • Gig Harbor-Purdy: 1.2 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Mt. Rainier-Lightning Creek: 1 inch at 9 a.m.
  • Puyallup-Summit: 0.8 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Sunshine Beach: 1/2 inch at 7 a.m.
  • Gig Harbor-Artondale: 0.3 inches at 7 a.m.
  • Lakewood-Steilacoom: 0.2 inches at 7:45 a.m.
Some parts of South Seattle saw several inches fall overnight.
