Deputy Punched After I-5 Hit-Run Mess In Shoreline
A hectic scene unfolded along I-5 in Shoreline Tuesday morning amid a hit-and-run collision involving four vehicles.

SHORELINE, WA — A 22-year-old Seattle man caused a four-car collision along northbound I-5 Tuesday morning in Shoreline, and the man punched a King County Deputy after a short foot chase, according to Washington State Patrol.
The incident began around 2:45 a.m. near Northeast 175h Street when Dreyer C. La Rosa rear-ended a car being driven by Kenneth B. Johnson, 39, of Kirkland, according to WSP. La Rose kept on driving, but when Johnson stepped out of his car after the accident, he was hit by a 60-year-old man from Auburn.
Farther north, La Rosa ditched his car and his 37-year-old passenger. A 50-year-old man from British Columbia driving a semitrailer then hit La Rosa's car.

A King County Deputy found La Rosa near the scene of the crash, which is when the assault happened, police said. La Rosa was arrested for assault and felony DUI.
Johnson was taken to Harborview for treatment, but Shoreline fire described his injuries as minor.
