Cold Start To Week Will End With Warmth: Forecast

The forecast for the upcoming week starts off icy, but Puget Sound will be warm by the end of the week.

SHORELINE, WA - Be careful during your commute Monday morning. Meteorologists are predicting icy conditions will develop early Monday morning because temperatures will get down into the 20s.

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement covering all of Puget Sound Sunday afternoon. Sunday's snow and rain will be exposed to temperatures in the 20s overnight Monday, which could create slick roads by Monday morning.

"Skies will begin clearing later tonight, allowing low temperatures to dip to near or below freezing in many areas. The coldest temperatures in the mid and upper 20s are expected in outlying areas away from the water. Some roads that are still wet or slushy will freeze late tonight and Monday morning. Icy roads should be anticipated for the Monday morning commute," the statement said.
