Lake Forest Park Police Fight With Suspect After Chase: Report

An officer was injured in a fight after a suspect fled from a traffic stop, according to reports.

LAKE FOREST PARK, WA — A Lake Forest Park police officer was injured in a scuffle with a suspect early Friday morning after a chase that ended in a backyard, according to reports.

The chase began around 2 a.m. when police tried to pull a man over. He fled to near Northeast 149th Street and 30th Avenue Northeast south of Acacia Memorial Park. The man then got out of his car and ran on foot, according to KOMO.

The officers caught up to him in a backyard nearby, and that's when they got into a fistfight, KOMO reported. One officer had minor injuries, but they were able to arrest the suspect.
