Man Arrested With Hundreds Of Pieces Of Stolen Mail In Shoreline

The King County Sheriff's Office said a deputy pulled over a vehicle and found it packed full of stolen mail.

SHORELINE, WA — A man was arrested in Shoreline this week after investigators found hundreds of pieces of stolen mail in his vehicle, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. On Tuesday, someone called in a suspicious vehicle idling near mailboxes along North 198th Street. When a deputy arrived, the car was gone, but a witness provided a description and license plate number. The deputy found the vehicle a short time later and pulled over the driver.

According to investigators, the deputy noticed a large amount of mail inside the vehicle, including some sensitive documents and credit cards. The driver was arrested and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service was notified to investigate further. The sheriff's office said charges were pending based on the outcome of the USPIS investigation.
