Ridgecrest Collects 661 Pounds of Food for Hopelink Food Bank

With donations down and need up, every bit helps

The Ridgecrest Neighborhood Food Drive led by the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association recently concluded. The year 2011 was a tough year for the Hopelink food bank.  Donations were down and need was up.

Neighborhood donations helped to stock the shelves with 661 lbs of non-perishable food, valued at over $991, along with $33 in cash donations.

Café Aroma and Java Jolt, local espresso shops partnered for the collection effort.  With their drive-up windows, making a donation for Hope Link was made easy as ordering a cup of coffee.
