Sears Closing 3 Washington Stores This Spring

Three Western Washington Sears stores, including Shoreline, will close, according to the company.

SHORELINE, WA - Three Western Washington Sears stores will close this spring, according to the company. The Sears in Shoreline, an anchor in one of the city's largest shopping centers, is one of stores that will close.

The Washington closures are among the 100 Sears and K-Mart stores the company will close in 2018. In January 2017, Sears announced that a Sears store in Lynnwood and a K-Mart in Tacoma would close.

Employees at affected stores were notified Thursday about the closings, which include 39 Sears outlets and 64 Kmart stores, the financially struggling retailer said in a statement.
