Shoreline, LFP 2019-20 School Calendars: First Day And More

SHORELINE, WA — The first day of school for Shoreline and Northshore School District students in the 2019-20 school year is Sept. 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences. You can see the full school year calendar with notes on important days on the Shoreline and Northshore websites.

Here are some dates to know for the 2019-20 school year in Shoreline schools:

• Sept. 2 — Labor Day, no school
• Sept. 4 — First day of school, grades 1 to 12
• Sept. 9 — First day of kindergarten
• Sept. 11— Early release day
• Nov. 11 — No school, Veterans Day
• Nov. 28-29 — Thanksgiving break
• Dec. 23-Jan. 3 — Winter break
• Jan. 20 — No school, MLK Day
• Jan. 31 — No school, staff work day
• Feb. 18-21 — Mid-winter break
• April 20-24 — Spring break
• May 25 — No school, Memorial Day
• June 8 — No school, staff work day
• June 18 — Last day of school, half day
• June 19 — Make-up day
