Shoreline School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Shoreline is September 6. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Shoreline Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

October

• 10/9 - 10/11: Early Release for Elementary Students (Parent Conferences)
• 10/12: Early Release for All Students (Evaluation Implementation)
• 10/13: No School for Students (Staff Work Day)

November

• 11/8: End of First Quarter (Secondary)
• 11/9: No School for Students (Staff Work Day)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22: Early Release for Students and Staff
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/4: No School for Students (Staff Work Day)
• 12/20 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/26: End of First Semester (Secondary)
