SHORELINE, WA — A Shoreline Schools employee made her TV debut this week when she was picked to participate in a bit on the "Late Show With Stephen Colbert" about 2020 Democratic presidential candidates.

Highland Elementary School registrar Kristie Brown, in New York City on a vacation with her family, was plucked from the crowd during Monday's taping. Colbert held up pictures of some the lesser-known candidates to see if Brown could identify them.

Brown, understandably, couldn't quite make out U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., or spiritual guide Marianne Williamson — but she was able to tell the difference between U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, and a real estate agent from Putnam County, New York.
