Small Earthquake Reported Near Shoreline—Did You Feel It?

King County experienced two small earthquakes early Friday morning, including one that was centered in Lake City and measured 2.6 on the Richter scale.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network indicates the quake took place at 6:56 a.m. and was centered in Lake City. It was 19.3 miles deep.

Seismologists say a second quake took place at 7:34 a.m. Friday east of Redmond. That one was 2.3 in magnitude and 16.5 miles deep.
