Sound Transit Construction Update

Sound Transit contractors will be installing a roundabout to minimize congestion at NE 185th Street and 5th Avenue NE during construction of the light rail project. Work will include road demolition, concrete curve ramp demolition, and restoration. The roads will be fully closed at that intersection from 7:00 a.m. on April 1st through 5 p.m. on April 3rd. Please see the Construction Alert flyer linked in the title to see a map of the area of closure and suggested detours.

After the Lynnwood Link becomes operational in 2024, the City of Shoreline will evaluate the traffic circle to determine if it should remain in place.
