Stray Dog With Deadly Parvovirus Found In Lake Forest Park
A stray dog was recently found suffering from the deadly canine virus.

LAKE FOREST PARK, WA - A stray dog with parvovirus was recently found in Lake Forest Park, according to police, and the city is warning dog owners to be on the lookout for symptoms.
The dog was found at Pfingst Animal Acres Park, police say. Parvo is an extremely contagious disease that can be deadly or cause life-long health problems for dogs. Parvo is usually transmitted through contact with infected feces, but the virus can live on surfaces. Although not a threat to humans, dog owners can transmit the disease.
However, most dogs are vaccinated against parvo as a matter of routine. Signs of the virus include lethargy, vomiting, and bloody diarrhea. Some dog breeds - like German shepherds and Labradors - are more susceptible to contracting Parvo.
