Big Potato Spill Near I-90 In Vantage
Lots of spuds are blocking an exit along eastbound I-90 near the Columbia River.

VANTAGE, WA - A semi hauling potatoes tipped over after exiting I-90 near Vantage Friday morning. The spud spill happened at the top of the exit heading eastbound, and the incident did not appear to be blocking traffic along I-90.
Washington State Patrol spokesman Brian Moore said the truck lost its brakes as it rounded a corner coming off I-90.

Fruit-and-vegetable spills happen a few times per year. In July, a truck hauling apples tipped over near Moses Lake, which blocked all lanes for a while. Over the winter, another truck hauling apples crashed and slid into the Columbia River along SR 243.
