Drive-In Fireworks At Multiple Sites Across Spokane On July 4

SPOKANE – Based on the popularity of the 2020 drive-in neighborhood fireworks shows for the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve, several partners and underwriters are coming together again to bring the community a geographically dispersed 4th of July celebration at four locations across town.

Spokane Indians Baseball Club, City of Spokane Parks & Recreation, Spokane Rapids, and Spokane Public Schools are collaborating with several generous underwriters to produce the shows.

Four separate fireworks displays will be offered across the Spokane area at 10 P.M. on July 4, at Dwight Merkel, Ferris High School, Avista Stadium, and Plante’s Ferry.

“We understand it’s a time of transition, and we’re happy to provide these four options for people to enjoy the fireworks from their vehicles or spread out on the grass,” said Garrett Jones, director of Parks & Recreation. “Community celebrations like this are such a special part of living in Spokane, and it’s important to us to keep these traditions alive.”

“I’m proud of all the groups coming together for another year of community fireworks” said Otto Klein, senior vice president of the Spokane Indians Baseball Club. “In a time when we need more collaboration than ever, fireworks are the perfect gift for everyone to enjoy and celebrate together.”

“We are excited to offer this opportunity to the Spokane community and hope that it will be a great start to a wonderful summer,” said Dr. Adam Swinyard, superintendent, Spokane Public Schools.

Time

Fireworks shows will run simultaneously starting at 10 P.M. Parking lots will open at 8:30 P.M. Tune into 93.7 FM The Mountain for patriotic music during the shows.

Limited parking

Parking will be limited, and we anticipate lots filling quickly after opening at 8:30 P.M. Please have a second or third parking option in mind in case you encounter a full parking lot. Many people will be able to view the fireworks from their nearby homes.
