Spokane County Library District: Help Kids Succeed: Apply To Volunteer For The Fall Study Buddy Program

Looking for volunteer hours? You can help a child improve their reading & math skills. We’re looking for teens and adults who would like to volunteer to tutor in our after-school homework help program, called the Study Buddy Program. As a tutor, you’ll help elementary-school students with reading and math skills. The fall session begins September 2021. The program takes place on weekdays between the hours of 3:30–5pm and is scheduled to be an online program in the fall. Volunteers work directly with elementary school students in the areas of reading and math. Requirements for Volunteers Must be 16 years or older
Provide consent to a background check
Parents must provide consent to participate and to a background check for applicants under age 18
Attend a training session
Commit to at least 2 hours per week for an 8-week session
Apply online at our Volunteer Application Portal Online Training Training will take place online using an interactive meeting platform and is scheduled for Friday, July 30, 10–11am.
