TACOMA, WA — The body of a man accused of shooting and killing two Tacoma women last weekend has been found in the waters near Vashon Island.
According to Tacoma Police, the shooting happened sometime before 4 a.m. on July 5. That's when a witness called 911 to report that he come home and found his two roommates collapsed and unresponsive. Medics with Tacoma Fire were called to help, but declared both women dead shortly after arriving.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner has identified the women as 31-year-old Jonna Hart, and 34-year-old Meghan Re. While the roommate who discovered them remained on scene and had tried to use CPR to resuscitate the women, their fourth roommate, Erik Larson, could not be found after their bodies were discovered, and police began to investigate him as a suspect in their murders.
