Family and Friends Give $1,000 to Native Plant Salvage Foundation
Patricia Pyle Memorial Fund is used to Recruit and Mentor Budding Environmentalists from AmeriCorps Program

OLYMPIA, WA – A $1,000 donation has been made to the Native Plant Salvage Foundation (NPSF) in the name of late environmentalist Patricia Pyle, to a restricted fund that will help NPSF continue its work into the future. Pyle served as Program Specialist, Storm and Surface Utility, City of Olympia.
The Patricia Pyle Memorial Fund continues her legacy of spreading passion for environmental protection. This fund is used to recruit and mentor a budding environmentalist from the AmeriCorps program every year.
The money was raised from among Pyle’s family and friends on the occasion of her mother’s 90th birthday.

“Patricia was a light with her love for nature,” said her mother, Rita Pyle of Baltimore, MD, “whether it was picking apples as a young woman in Chelan or wading in the streams of Olympia. She not only loved how the natural world worked, she understood how it worked.
“She would be so proud to know generations of young environmentalists are able to continue to make a positive difference in conservation and protection of our natural resources.”
