Featured Blogger: Scott Seitz, Former Tacoma Narrows Rotary President

Check out the latest and greatest bloggers on Patch. Could you be featured next week?

Last week University Place Patch welcomed Bryan Routon to our Local Voices section.

This week we'd like to feature Scott Seitz, who has blogged on Patch since February 2012.

In his first post, Seitz wrote about the trials, tribulations and rewards of raising foster dogs. Since then he's tracked his mustache growth for "Movember," an international campaign to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues; upcoming traffic law changes

Seitz' posts is a great example that you don't have to stick to a specific topic to blog. Just write about what you know, and your humor and passion will shine through.

University Place Patch is looking for bloggers who’d like to share their local knowledge, personal expertise, political opinions, or hobbies. We want bloggers who can have readers walk away feeling challenged, inspired, happy, sad or further educated on a particular subject. Photo and video blogs are also encouraged!

Keep in mind that this is not a reporting gig. There’s no need to be a published author or someone who needs to be told what to write about. We want you to write about what you want and when you want.

Blogging on Patch is just one more way you can get involved with your community and spark important discussion.
