UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - Pens, pencils, notebooks, backpacks, a new rain jacket, sneakers, calculators, laptops ... going back to school is expensive. Families spend about $700 per child each year, according to the National Retail Federation.

Unfortunately, not every family can afford to buy school supplies. Back-to-school supply drives are one way to help families bridge the gap. Check out this list of supply drives happening near you so you can either donate or pick up supplies.
